Pale Wheat Malt is normally added to malted barley to add a biscuit flavour at the same time as smoothing out the beer. It can also add a haze to the finished beer.
Usually you would use up to 20% Pale Wheat Malt to 80% Barley to give a wheat (white / weisse / wit) beer, but used in smaller quantities it will add extra depth, mouthfeel and a smooth texture to the finished beer. Used in larger quantities to smooth and add extra body to the beer.
This Pale Wheat Malt is malted by Warminster Maltings using traditional methods sourced from some of the best growers in the UK.
