The Mig-31 'Foxhound' was developed as the replacement of the Mig-25 'Foxbat', the prototype Ye-155MP took the first flight on 16 September 1975. As the heaviest fighter/interceptor in the world, the Mig-31 is much heaver than other similar aircrafts. Kit has engraved panel lines, well appointed tandem cockpit, optional (canopy with other glazing's and speed brakes), separately molded trailing edge slats and flaps, detailed (engines and exhaust with turbine and afterburner elements), detailed (wheel wells with metal struts and optional undercarriage with rubber tires), external stores (R-60 (x4), R-77 (x2), R-73E (x2), R-33 (x4), R-40R (x2), R-40T (x2) and fuel tank (x2)), photoetch (cockpit, canopy and other accents). Decals and 4-view color reference for (2) USSR/Russian: 34 Red and 786th IAP, 3rd AD VVS/PVO Moscow Military District, 74 Blue (can 38401209136) - includes stencil data, instrument panel and consoles.
