The Meinl Percussion Doumbek is made from cast aluminum by artisans in Turkey (sometimes called Middle Eastern or Egyptian goblet drum). This beautifully crafted instrument delivers authentic sound that stems from roots in the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. Equipped with a durable synthetic head that resists changes in weather and projects fully. The head produces deep, resonant “Doum” strokes and snappy “Tek” strokes. The aluminum shell measures 12" W x 18 1/4" H, and the head measures 10". Comes with tuning wrench.
